Suit Against Boggs to Proceed, Judge Rules

A $6-million lawsuit refiled by the former girlfriend of Boston Red Sox slugger Wade Boggs was upheld Friday by Commissioner Eleanor Palk in Orange County Superior Court in Santa Ana.

Palk, who sits as a judge, ruled that the suit filed by Margo Adams of Costa Mesa may proceed. Palk had ruled on Aug. 12 that Adams’ original suit, filed last June, did not meet legal requirements.

Adams alleges that Boggs breached an oral contract to pay her expenses for accompanying him on Red Sox trips during a four-year period.
