Howie Long Will Have Minor Surgery
Is Howie Long done for the season?
With his calf injury now inflamed, he checked in to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center Monday and is scheduled to undergo a minor surgical procedure.
“They’re going to do a sonar investigation,” Raider executive Al LoCasale said. “Then based on a consultation by a number of doctors, they’ll go in there and drain the blood out. It’s surgery because it involves an incision.”
Long has missed the last 6 games with the injury. In recent weeks, he has had it put in a cast, and has been walking with crutches or a cane.
