Quake Jolts Quebec Area

QUEBEC CITY —
An earthquake shook southern Quebec early today, causing slight damage but no injuries, officials said. The epicenter of the quake, which measured 4.9 in magnitude, was 90 miles north of Quebec City, John Adams of the Geological Survey of Canada said. Earthquakes are very rare in the region, which is considered relatively stable, Adams said.
