NBA Fines 3 Players for Fights
Michael Cage and Xavier McDaniel of the Seattle SuperSonics and Steve Johnson of the Portland Trail Blazers were fined a total of $7,000 by the National Basketball Assn. Friday for their roles in fights during a game at Seattle Tuesday.
Johnson was fined $3,500 for fighting, Cage $1,000 for pushing and McDaniel $2,500 for failure to leave the court after being ejected and for his actions in a fight with Portland’s Jerome Kersey.
