Lynwood : Contracting Jobs for Freeway to Be Discussed
A conference to discuss contracting jobs for the Century Freeway (I-105) will be held at 5 p.m. today at Bateman Hall, 11331 Ernestine Ave., Lynwood. The jobs are worth $22 million to minority and women’s business enterprises.
California Department of Transportation contract specialists will discuss contract details with prime contractors, subcontractors and prospective employees wishing to bid or work on the 1-105 roadway.
Caltrans has set a hiring goal of 33% for minorities and women for this phase of construction.
