Local News in Brief : Deliveryman Arrested in Obscene Phone Calls
A 21-year-old deliveryman was arrested on suspicion of making repeated obscene phone calls to a Costa Mesa woman since he made a delivery to her home in October.
David Timothy Avery of Tustin was arrested at his home on Thursday.
Costa Mesa Police Lt. Alan Kent said the calls began two days after Avery had made a delivery to the woman on Oct. 24.
Police and Pacific Bell traced the calls to Avery’s home. “A lot of people don’t suspect that they can be traced,” Kent said.
