A maintenance worker found 154 pounds of cocaine stashed above a ceiling panel in the rest room of an empty Pan American World Airways plane at San Francisco International Airport, an airline spokeswoman said. The drugs were discovered after the plane arrived form Miami via Los Angeles, spokeswoman Susan Timper said. The airline gave no estimate of the value of the cocaine, but such a quantity would normally be worth millions of dollars. Federal drug agents searched the plane but found no additional cocaine, Timper said. The plane was later returned to service. Timper said the ceiling panel is routinely removed for service between flights.
