Injured forward Kevin Willis was suspended indefinitely without pay by the Atlanta Hawks for missing team functions and rehabilitation therapy.
“The last straw was (Tuesday night) when he missed the entire game,” said Stan Kasten, president and general manager of the Hawks, after Atlanta’s 123-113 victory over the Sacramento Kings.
Willis, a starter, has missed the entire season with a cracked bone in his left foot but was expected to return to action late this month or early in January.
