2 Auxiliary Bishops Appointed for S.F.

San Francisco Catholic Archbishop John Quinn, who took a “sabbatical” last year to recover from psychological stress, welcomed an early Christmas present this week from Pope John Paul II--two new auxiliary bishops.
Named were Fathers Patrick McGrath, 43, pastor of St. Mary’s Cathedral, and Carlos Sevilla, 53, a San Francisco native and leading member of the Jesuit order in California.
