Errors Acknowledged

Share

In a recent letter (Letters in View, Dec. 2), I pointed out that the title of my book, “The Aquarian Conspiracy,” had been incorrectly listed in The Times coverage of a recent conference, “New Age Skeptics Have a Convergence All Their Own” (Nov. 13).

I was embarrassed to discover that I had erred myself twice in my letter. I referred to a recent cover story on faith healing in the Humanist and described the journal as having been edited by conference organizer Paul Kurtz. Kurtz has not edited the Humanist for many years.

This was brought to my attention by David Alexander, author of the article, who also pointed out that the precise wording of a line I quoted was “Faith healers are the vermin of religion,” not “Healers are the vermin of the Earth.”
