Syracuse University and city police are investigating two weekend brawls involving prominent members of the school’s football and basketball teams.
Derrick Coleman, a basketball player, and football players Deval Glover and Chris Ingram were the main combatants in the fights, a police spokesman said.
The brawls, which occurred at Syracuse’s Schine Student Center, reportedly started when a fraternity member refused to let the athletes into a fraternity-sponsored party without paying the $2.50 admission.
