Local : 2 Killed as Stolen Car Crashes
Two unidentified men driving a stolen car died today when they slammed into a bridge abutment as police chased them.
A Fullerton Police sergeant had stopped the driver of the Honda Prelude for speeding as he entered the Orange Freeway at Yorba Linda Boulevard about 2:45 a.m., Police Lt. Ron Rowell said. As the officer approached the car, the driver sped off.
The sergeant chased the car on the freeway, saw it exit at Tonner Canyon Road, then came upon the accident scene on southbound Brea Canyon Road about 2:47 a.m., Rowell said.
