Wave Women Cagers Challenge Fullerton

The Pepperdine women’s basketball team, 4-5 as the week began, will play host to Cal State Fullerton at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at Firestone Fieldhouse in Malibu.

The Waves snapped a three-game losing streak in a home game Monday night, defeating Southern Utah State, 86-74.

Pepperdine has been led by junior guard Dionne Burgess, senior forward April Marion, freshman center Susan Tousey and junior guard Sherri Murrell. Burgess is averaging 16.9 points a game, Marion 15.4 points and 9.3 rebounds, Tousey 13.5 points and 6.5 rebounds and Murrell 12.1 points, 4.6 assists and 5.4 rebounds.
