Hit-Run Victim Found Dead at Border
The body of an unidentified Latina woman, apparently the victim of a hit-and-run driver, was found in San Ysidro on Saturday morning by U.S. Border Patrol agents, police said.
The body was discovered along an embankment of Interstate 905, between Interstate 805 and Otay Mesa Road, about 9:30 a.m., Sgt. Bill Edwards said.
Police believe the woman was walking along I-905 and suspect that she was struck by a westbound vehicle. It is unknown when the woman was struck. Police have no description of the vehicle that allegedly hit her, Edwards said, and an investigation is continuing.
