A 22-year-old Huntington Beach man is in critical condition with a stab wound he suffered when he was caught in the middle of fight Tuesday night, police said Wednesday.
Be Van Nguyen was attending an invitation-only party for the opening of Cafe Bodard in the Asian Gardens mini-mall in the 9200 block of Bolsa Avenue about 9 p.m. when he was attacked, Westminster Police Officer Tom Broderson said.
“There was a group of 15 juvenile and young adult Vietnamese trying to crash the party,” Broderson said. Nguyen “walked outside and got caught in the middle of a fight already in progress and was stabbed once by an unknown person.”
Nguyen was taken to Fountain Valley Regional Hospital & Medical Center. Broderson said the attackers were possibly gang members, but police have no suspects in custody.
