Father Convicted in Son’s School Hair Code Violation

HOUSTON —
A man who refused to force his 14-year-old son to cut his hair to bring the teen-ager into compliance with a high school’s grooming code has been convicted of violating the state’s compulsory school attendance law.
Jurors deliberated about 45 minutes Wednesday before convicting Dub Wilkinson of the misdemeanor and fining him $25, the maximum.
