SAN DIEGO ENTERTAINMENT BRIEFS
The International Orchestra of USIU will present its Friday night concert at the Lyceum Theatre as a benefit for victims and survivors of the earthquake in Soviet Armenia. To augment proceeds from the performance, donations from concert-goers will be accepted by representatives of the St. John Armenian Apostolic Church. San Diego Mayor O’Connor has proclaimed Jan. 6, which is also the day Christmas is celebrated on the Armenian calendar, as International Orchestra of USIU day. The concert opens the university orchestra’s downtown “Mozart Plus” series.
