1 Dead, 1 Hurt in Drive-By Shooting
A gunman in a car shot at two people riding on a bicycle in East Los Angeles on Friday night, killing one man and wounding a 16-year-old boy, Sheriff’s deputies said.
The two victims were apparently riding on one bicycle when they were shot, Deputy Detta Roberts said. Danny Perez, 20, was pronounced dead at County-USC Medical Center, Roberts said. Jaime Palmeran, 16, was in guarded condition at the hospital Saturday, Roberts said.
Detectives investigating the 7:30 p.m. shooting in the 600 block of South Humphreys Avenue said the incident was gang-related.
