Share

Charles Thomas, a public housing landlord and investor in fast-food restaurants, has been fined by the California Fair Employment and Housing Commission for sexually harassing a receptionist in his Los Angeles office.

The commission found Thomas liable for harassing the receptionist, who quit her job the day after the Jan. 30, 1985, incident. In testimony before the commission, the receptionist said Thomas made sexual advances toward her when she went to his home to pick up a salary advance.

The receptionist worked in the offices of Huncot Properties, which administers Section 8 public housing units in Los Angeles.
