Violence

We are living in trying times when murder runs rampant, violence is a way of life and the frustration of being unable to control one’s own safety is overwhelming. When an American citizen can’t walk the streets during the day or night without the fear of being mugged, then something is radically wrong in our society.

This terrible dread didn’t quite strike home until a very dear neighbor of ours came home at night and was hit over the head in his driveway, kicked in the side where a rib was broken, and his face beat up while he was unconscious, robbed and left lying for approximately four hours in 40-degree weather. He awoke and managed to crawl back into his car, where his frantic wife found him.

The question comes to mind, where is our protection, where is the guarantee of our rights to walk our streets in safety? Why do we worry about enemies from without, when there is much more danger from within?

Who do we turn to, who will listen, who will protect our safety? Must we all put bars on our windows, buy alarms for our homes and cars?

Wake up America, we need help!
