LOCAL : Fire Destroys Garden Grove Home

An early-morning fire destroyed a Garden Grove home today, causing $185,000 damage, officials said. The 2:05 a.m. blaze started on the first floor of the two-story home, but the lone occupant escaped without injury, Garden Grove Fire Department Inspector Ed Lukas said. About 40 firefighters contained the blaze within 30 minutes. The cause of the fire is under investigation, Lukas said.
