This year’s run will offer $4,600 in prize money, costumed runners, attached “centipede” teams and six-packs, a baby-buggy jogger division and a fitness expo.

Among the world-class runners expected are Steve Cram of England and Alejandro Cruz of Mexico and a hand-picked team of UC Irvine alumni running for the $500 team prize. They’re expected to lead a pack of runners that could total 15,000.
