Jack Kent Cooke II, 26, Grandson of Redskin Owner, Dies in Glendale
Jack Kent Cooke II, grandson of the Washington Redskins owner and stepson of National Football League Commissioner Pete Rozelle, is dead at 26, the NFL said Sunday.
The league said in a statement that Cooke died in Glendale, Calif., on Friday, but revealed no other details. A private funeral is planned.
Cooke was the son of Carrie Rozelle, the commissioner’s wife, from her previous marriage to Ralph Kent Cooke, of Lexington, Ky. The late Cooke’s grandfather, Jack Kent Cooke, is a former owner of the Lakers and Kings.
