The zany surrealistic artist Salvador Dali, who died last week, will be the subject of a movie that explores his life and work in the ‘40s, “before he went commercial.”

This according to a casting source, who revealed that Spain’s Antoni Ribas will begin directing “Salvador Dali” in late May, on locations in Bulgaria, Spain and New York.

The story line will involve members of Dali’s artistic milieu, including Henry Miller, Igor Stravinsky, Richard Strauss and Pablo Picasso.
