NFL’s Eagles Promote Taft Graduate Fisher
Jeff Fisher, a Philadelphia Eagles assistant coach for the past 3 seasons, has been elevated to defensive coordinator by Coach Buddy Ryan, Fisher’s attorney, Rob Glushon, announced Thursday.
Fisher, 30, becomes the youngest defensive coordinator in the NFL. He joined the Eagle staff in 1986 as a defensive secondary coach.
Fisher, who attended Taft High and USC, played 6 seasons as a defensive back for Chicago and retired after the Bears won the Super Bowl in 1986.
