Greedy Hershiser Needs to Count His Blessings

I’m tired of the Dodgers messing with Orel Hershiser. They make it sound as if they can’t afford to pay him or they’re afraid of a long-term contract. I would be more afraid of a short-term contract.

What Hershiser did last season and its value to the Dodger team and organization makes anything he gets this year, or for the next four years, a bargain.

If the Dodgers don’t agree to his demands, someone else will.
