The conservator for John Tate, former World Boxing Assn. heavyweight champion, says he is trying to save the boxer $156,000 in assets, not squander them.
Attorney Lawrence Ault said in court papers that he is caring for Tate’s assets, which include cash, a boat and household furniture all valued at $156,000.
Tate, 33, has alleged that Ault failed to provide him an adequate place to live, reliable transportation and appropriate training, educational, medical and psychological services. Tate is asking that his conservatorship be transferred to Texas, where he hopes to move.
