IN BRIEF : Browns Sign Collins, Jones
CLEVELAND — The Cleveland Browns have signed free agent running backs Patrick Collins and Keith Jones, the team announced Monday. Collins, who played at Oklahoma and was drafted during the eighth round by the Green Bay Packers last year, missed the first seven games of this season because of a hamstring injury. He was activated Oct. 21 and played sparingly in six games, gaining 2 yards during two carries and catching two passes for 17 yards. Jones, of Nebraska, did not play during his first four games with the Los Angeles Rams last year. He then spent 12 games on the injured reserve list with an ankle injury. Jones was drafted during the sixth round last year.
