4 Design Firms Listed in Top 100
Four Los Angeles firms have been named in the annual ranking of Interior Design magazine’s “100 Interior Design Giants of 1989.”
Highest placed of the Los Angeles firms were Reel/Grobman & Associates, as No. 11. Others cited were: Architectural Interiors Inc./Interior Design Inc., Steinmann Grayson Smylie and Chaix & Johnson International Inc.

An item in the Real Estate section of Feb. 19 on Interior Design magazine’s annual list of 100 biggest firms in the industry omitted the name of Cole Martinez Curtis & Associates. The company, based in Marina del Rey, was ranked No. 13 by the magazine.
For the eighth consecutive year San Francisco’s Gensler & Associates was ranked the No. 1 Interior Design Giant.
