President Bush on Gun Control

Share

I have seen bizarre and tasteless attempts to intimidate the Assembly before, but I have to admit that watching John Van de Kamp, the supposedly responsible attorney general, wave a rifle at the legislators and tell them he could easily kill them all if he had enough ammunition, definitely takes the cake (Part I, Feb. 14).

If he had been anyone else, he’d be locked up for observation, but somehow he got away with it! The NRA, often accused of trying to intimidate legislators, can learn a lot from Van de Kamp.
