Cuban sprinter Ricardo Chacon upset Carl Lewis in the 60-meter dash an indoor track and field meet at Oviedo, Spain. Chacon won in 6.57 seconds to set a Cuban record. Lewis’ time was 6.64.
Danny Everett of the Santa Monica Track Club won the 400 in 47.17.
Morocco’s Said Aouita easily won the 1,500-meter run in 3:39.70.
