Part of Thousand Oaks Loses Electrical Power

Failure of an underground switch cut electricity for more than an hour to about 2,400 Southern California Edison Co. customers in Thousand Oaks on Tuesday night, a spokesman said.
Edison spokesman Dave Barron said the switch near Hampshire and Foothill roads failed about 7:10 p.m. He said power was restored to most of the customers by 8:30 p.m.
A nearby apartment complex was without power for slightly longer, Barron said.
