The Montreal Expos said Wednesday in West Palm Beach, Fla., that troubled pitcher Pascual Perez’s stay in a drug rehabilitation center has been extended indefinitely, “at the recommendation of his doctors.”
The team announced Feb. 17 that Perez entered the center two weeks earlier for treatment of a problem in which “cocaine was involved.” Perez was slated then to undergo 30 days of treatment.
