Tacoma Hands Lazers Fourth Straight Loss
The Lazers lost their fourth consecutive Major Indoor Soccer League game Sunday, losing to the Tacoma Stars, 10-4, before an announced crowd of 4,959 at the Forum.
Preki, who has 36 goals on the season, scored three goals, with three assists and Peter Ward, who has 31 goals, had a hat trick and one assist to lead the Stars. Tacoma goalie P.J. Johns recorded 18 saves and Joe Waters had 10 blocks.
The Stars scored once in the first quarter and three times in the second, third and fourth periods while the Lazers scored once in each period.
Hector Marinaro scored twice for the Lazers, giving him a league-leading 37 goals this season.
