Mike Riley, who resigned Feb. 21 as head coach of the Grey Cup champion Winnipeg Blue Bombers to become Stanford’s defensive coordinator, announced he would return to the Blue Bombers.

“Mike and I talked about the situation a great deal last week,” Stanford Coach Dennis Green said. “We felt it would be best for him and his family to accept the big new contract they offered him.
