The Colleges : Landreaux Withdraws as Candidate for Titan Job

Share

Paul Landreaux, UCLA assistant basketball coach, said Tuesday he has withdrawn as a candidate for the Cal State Fullerton coaching job.

“I decided to withdraw because I didn’t think they were interested in me,” Landreaux said. “I had not heard from anyone (at Fullerton). When you have to call them, you know they’re not interested.”

Landreaux was one of three candidates who had been interviewed for the job. Ken Burmeister of Texas San Antonio withdrew last week. John Sneed is the only remaining candidate who has been interviewed.

A source at Fullerton said it was unlikely that a coach would be named before the end of Fullerton’s season.
