Edwards to Undergo Shoulder Examination
Jason Edwards, an All-Southern Section pitcher from Hart High and the 1988 Foothill League MVP, will have X-rays taken of his sore right shoulder today.
Edwards, who was 11-0 and posted a 1.28 earned-run average last season, has been unable to pitch for two weeks. “I throw one inning and I can’t even lift my arm,” Edwards said.
According to Edwards, his doctor said the injury might be the result of a bone chip lodged in a tendon or a stressed tendon, either of which will take at least two weeks to heal.
