Giusto, Knisely Are Sullivan 10-K Winners
Matt Giusto of Tucson won the Tom Sullivan 10-kilometer road race Sunday at Torrance with a time of 28 minutes 39 seconds.
Giusto made a move from a group of runners at three miles. Ivan Huff of San Luis Obispo was second in 28:46 and Jose Luis Chuela was third in 28:52.
Mary Knisely of Dallas won the women’s division in 32:43. Knisely also broke from a pack at the halfway point and won easily. Monica Joyce of Los Angeles was second in 32:57 and Sylvia Mosqueda of Alhambra was third in 33:19.
