VOLLEYBALL

Amy Erben, a junior on the San Diego State women’s volleyball team, is to be arraigned Tuesday in San Diego Municipal Court following her arrest for resisting arrest, disturbing the peace and refusing to disperse at an East San Diego party that police were called to break up early Sunday morning.

Police said Erben, 21, was arrested after she refused to leave the party in the 4900 block of 54th Street. Police said that she resisted the officer’s attempt to arrest her and had to be subdued by three additional officers. Erben, a 6-foot-2 middle blocker from Seattle, is free on $5,750 bond.
