Dwane Casey, the principal figure in the National Collegiate Athletic Assn.’s investigation of the Kentucky basketball program, resigned as assistant coach of the Wildcats.
Casey turned in his resignation the day after Eddie Sutton had resigned as coach of the beleaguered program.
Casey was mentioned in seven of the 18 allegations lodged against the university by the NCAA.
