IN BRIEF : Astros Get Infielder Lombardozzi

KISSIMMEE, Fla. — Houston acquired second baseman Steve Lombardozzi from the Minnesota Twins today for an Astros player to be named later, the Astros announced.
Lombardozzi, 27, hit .209 in 103 games for the Twins last season and drove in 27 runs. He led all hitters with a .412 average for the Twins in the 1987 World Series. The infielder has a .233 career average in three seasons with the Twins.
Astros regular season baseman Bill Doran is recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery performed March 7. Doran suffered through a series of injuries last season, including back spasms and underwent off-season shoulder surgery.
