MAYORAL RACE

Mayor Tom Bradley attends a bowling tournament/fund-raiser today in Little Tokyo from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Little Tokyo Bowl, 333 S. Alameda St., third floor. Proceeds from the tournament will benefit three senior citizens’ programs.

The Valley Homeowners and Civic Organization will hold a mayoral candidates forum today with Councilman Nate Holden and former Los Angeles County Supervisor Baxter Ward at the Bernardi Multi-Purpose Center, 6514 Sylmar Ave., Van Nuys, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Councilman Nate Holden received the endorsement of the Greater Hollywood Civic Assn.

CITY COUNCIL RACES

The Rev. Jules Bagneris III, an African Methodist Episcopal minister and 7th District candidate, invites the public to a free pancake breakfast today at 9 a.m. at Los Pinetos Trailhead Park (dead ends at Blucher Ave.), Sylmar.

Irene Tovar, a Latino activist running against Councilman Ernani Bernardi in the 7th District, holds an open house at her campaign headquarters and residence today at noon, 14801 Wolfskill St., Los Angeles.

Bernie Lohr-Schmidt, attorney and 13th District candidate, has received the endorsement of the Greater Hollywood Civic Assn.

Councilman Michael Woo of the 13th District has been endorsed by the Los Angeles Police Protective League and the California Organization of Police and Sheriffs.

COMMUNITY COLLEGE RACE

Paul Weisman, an attorney and candidate for Office No. 2, has received the endorsements of Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich; Charles Imbrecht, chairman of the State Energy Commission; Assemblywoman Cathie Wright (R-Simi Valley), and Ben Felton, commissioner, California Horse Racing Board.
