Weekend Rain Threat Cancels Work Planned for Ventura Freeway
Due to the possibility of rain, work originally scheduled today for the Ventura Freeway in Woodland Hills will not take place.
The state Department of Transportation had previously announced that construction would require closing all but one of the eastbound and westbound lanes between Canoga and Shoup avenues from 9 p.m. Friday until noon today. While some construction will take place this weekend, all lanes will remain open and traffic should not be affected.
In addition, Caltrans had planned to close the westbound Topanga Canyon Boulevard off-ramp, the westbound Shoup off-ramp and the eastbound Ventura Boulevard on-ramp. The ramps will remain open throughout the weekend.
