Local News in Brief : Orange : Yorba Linda Man Kills Self in 6-Story Plunge
A 59-year-old Yorba Linda man jumped to his death at 1 p.m. Monday from the fifth floor of a six-story parking garage on Town & Country Road, police reported.
The victim left no message, and the reason for the suicide is unknown, Police Sgt. Timm Browne said.
“We have the man’s identity, but we are not releasing it until next of kin are notified,” Browne said.
Browne said the man drove his car into the garage, parked it, and made his fatal jump from the fifth floor with no delay or hesitation.
An investigation of the incident blocked many people from using portions of the parking structure Monday afternoon.
