LOCAL : Bobcat Found Dead in Mission Viejo

A bobcat that apparently had been struck by a car was found dead this morning on Los Alisos Boulevard near Cordova Road in Mission Viejo.
The 20-pound white-and-black animal was discovered by a passer-by.
“It’s just one of those unfortunate things that happen to wildlife,” said Jack Edwards, a spokesman for Orange County Animal Control. “He must have just gotten into the traffic.”
Edwards said the bobcat may have been looking for food or simply wandering from his natural environment.
