Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Vinny Testaverde has filed for divorce from his wife of eight months and will seek a lump-sum alimony payment, according to court records at Tampa, Fla.

A document said the 1986 Heisman Trophy winner and his wife, Laura Ann Gambucci, have been estranged since Jan. 26, when the marriage became “irretrievably broken.”
