A headline in Thursday’s Valley sports section incorrectly reported the status of four Cal State Northridge softball recruits.
The recruits so far have given only oral commitments to CSUN Coach Gary Torgeson.

Gina Moe, a two-year starter at second base for the Falcons, has orally commited to play softball for Northridge. She said Wednesday that she will sign a letter of intent as soon as it arrives in the mail.

Also committing to CSUN was Lisa Ferraconi, a catcher from Palomar College; Danielle Wood, a first baseman from Hart High; and Lisa Huffaker, a shortstop from El Camino Real High who has been a starter on two City Section championship teams.

As expected, Cal State Northridge signed three basketball recruits--all from Northern California--to letters of intent Wednesday. Signing were Al Jackson, a 6-1 guard from West Valley College, Shanan Rosenberg, a 6-8 forward from St. Francis High and Percy Fisher, a 6-7 forward from San Francisco Riordan High.

Jackson averaged 11 points and 5.5 assists for West Valley in 1988. He redshirted last season. Rosenberg averaged 16 points and 12 rebounds and Fisher eight points and six rebounds.
