Actor Todd Bridges Denied Reduced Bail

Despite a plea from actor Todd Bridges, a Superior Court judge refused to lower his $2-million bail on charges that he nearly killed a man in a shooting in a rock cocaine house in February.

“What I can’t understand is why I’m a danger to society,” Bridges, 23, a former child star of the NBC-TV series “Diff’rent Strokes,” told Judge David Horowitz.

Bridges is charged with attempted murder in the shooting of a 25-year-old man who was allegedly serving as a lookout at a South-Central Los Angeles rock house Feb. 2.

Horowitz turned down the defense request to lower Bridges’ bail to $50,000 and ordered him to remain in custody pending a May 19 pretrial hearing.
