Other Bengals Involved With Wilson, His Agent Says
Several Cincinnati players were involved with Bengal running back Stanley Wilson the night before this year’s Super Bowl, Wilson’s agent told the New York Times.
“For me to say other players strikes a negative cord but that’s the reality,” said agent Reggie Turner.
Wilson was barred from playing in the Super Bowl.
“The NFL knows that something special happened that Saturday night, something out of the norm,” Turner said. “As the NFL people said to me, ‘We don’t know what happened, but we don’t think Stanley Wilson did this by himself.’ And that will be shown to be the case.”
Joe Browne, the NFL’s director of communications, said: “We’ve made several attempts through Wilson’s attorney to meet with him. We had a confirmed appointment last month canceled by his attorney at the last minute.”
