Igor Larionov scored two goals as the Soviet Union’s famed KLM line dominated for perhaps the last time in a 5-3 victory over Canada at Stockholm, to guarantee the Soviet Union its 21st world hockey championship.

Afterward, a Soviet official said the line of Larionov, Vladimir Krutov and Sergei Makarov will be allowed to play in the National Hockey League next season. The Vancouver Canucks have the rights to Larionov and Krutov, and the Calgary Flames have the rights to Makarov.

In another game, Czechoslovakia beat Sweden, 2-1.
